Monterey County supervisors are holding special meetings Thursday and Friday to begin making decisions about the county's new general plan.

Supervisors are scheduled to take action on land use and agricultural sections of the new general plan during a 9:30 a.m.-to-4 p.m. meeting Thursday.

On Friday, supervisors are scheduled to meet from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to make decisions about the plan's conservation and open space sections.

Both meetings are in the Board of Supervisors chambers in the Salinas county courthouse, 240 Church St.
