Advisory Committee - Purpose and Members
Seven Del Monte Forest
volunteers serve on this Committee which is approved and
managed by the Monterey County Director of Planning and
Building Inspection and his staff. Currently they
are:

Ted R. Hunter
Nancy Phillips
The primary purpose of the
Committee is to represent the Del Monte Forest and to
advise Monterey County Planning Commission, Zoning
Administrator, Subsivision Committee and Minor
Subdivision Committee on the concerns and desires of the
community and assist in providing comments and
recommendations on referred planning matters.
The Committee meets every other
Thursday to review the design of all buidlings plans for
new construction and remodeling of existing structures
within the Del Monte Forest. This involves applications
for use permits and any variances from existing zoning
ordinances. The Committee submits recommendations to the
County on each construction project.
Members of the Committee are
knowledgeable in the policies, regulations, practices and
procedures of the land use planning process in Monterey
County.
Property owners planning to
build a new home or remodel must submit plans to the
Pebble Beach Company Architectural Review Board in
addition to filing an application for a permit with the
County.
